Five block refurbishment — London SW11
The Brief
To create a sympathetic modern upgrade of the lobbies staircases and all common parts of Cyril Mansions, an Edwardian Mansion block on Prince of Wales Drive, overlooking Battersea Park. It required a transition from outdated dark and shabby to contemporary, alongside liaison with the Cyril Mansions board and residents, and hands on project design management
The Concept
The design inspiration came from the beautiful floor mosaic entrance to each staircase. The design retained the classical features of the building whilst introducing contemporary details, including bespoke lighting, furniture and mirrors to create an elegant impression in keeping with the 21st Century & prime location of SW11.
